Fundraising not only helps a great cause but also supports your pupils’ wellbeing by encouraging connection, positivity, and teamwork.

How You Can Get Involved

There are countless ways your school or college can support our mission. From sponsored walks and five-a-side tournaments to talent shows, movie screenings, dance-a-thons, or even a simple dress-up day.

Check out our ideas and inspiration page for more suggestions.

Whatever you’re doing, wherever you’re doing it, and whatever amount you’re aiming to raise, we’re incredibly grateful to have you on our team.

It is amazing to work with a charity that provides mental health support to the local community. It is incredibly important that students are aware of mental health and the challenges that people can have in that space from a young age.

Did You Know?

50% of mental health problems are established by the age of 14.

By encouraging young people to support mental health causes, we can make a lasting impact on their lives and the lives of others.

Share A Smile this Mental Health Awareness Week!

From 12th–18th May, join us in celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week with our #ShareASmile Campaign, inspired by this year’s theme: ‘Community’. A strong, supportive community is essential for mental health, and what better way to connect with others than through laughter?

Laughter brings people closer, lifts spirits, and creates joyful shared moments. Whether it’s a joke in the classroom or giggles with family, humour strengthens bonds and fosters belonging.

How your School can Participate:

Host a silliest outfit day

Encourage pupils and staff to come to school dressed in their wackiest, most mismatched, or odd clothing. Think bright colours, clashing patterns, and the most outrageous combinations. The sillier, the better!

Fundraising for a good cause

Ask for a £1/2 donation to West Central London Mind. It’s a simple, fun way to:

  • Spread positivity and laughter in your school.
  • Create shared memories and connections with other children, teachers and staff in your school.
  • Support the mental health of people in your local community by raising money for vital services.

Find our Schools Sponsorship Form here.

Make it even more fun!

  • Organise a ‘Silliest Outfit Parade’ in assembly or the playground.
  • Hold a class vote for the most creative or funniest outfit.
  • Combine it with a joke-telling session to double the laughter.

We’re Here to Help!

No matter how you choose to support us, we are here to help make your event a success. We may also be able to provide a mental health and wellbeing talk for your pupils if you pledge to raise over £500.
